Fronted by the magnetic E:U, who serves as rapper, vocalist, and dancer, together with principal singer Sihyeon, the girl group Everglow burst onto the scene amid a storm of vigorous, synth-driven pop once its six members had each logged time on televised audition programs. Their opening 2019 release, Arrival of Everglow, reached the upper tier of the Gaon chart and delivered the act’s breakthrough track “Bon Bon Chocolat.”

Formed under the direct guidance of Yuehua Entertainment, Everglow assembled that same year with E:U, Sihyeon, Onda, Mia, Yiren, and Aisha. Prior to the group’s launch, Sihyeon, Yiren, and Onda had each appeared on competition series including Idol School and Produce 101. Yuehua officially confirmed the sextet’s arrival in February 2019; one month afterward the trio of tracks comprising The Arrival of Everglow entered the marketplace. That mini-album climbed to number six on the Gaon ranking, driven by its blend of forceful ensemble pop and rap-focused beats. Everglow resurfaced in August with the three-song set Hush, which opened at number five and placed every track inside the Top Ten on the singles chart. The strong performance paved the way for the band’s debut full-length album, Reminiscence, scheduled to arrive in February 2020.
