Manchester-based MC Just Banco originated the genre Trapanese, a style that merges softer qualities drawn from grime, R&B, and rap yet places its main emphasis on fashion and lifestyle decisions.

Growing up in Trafford, Greater Manchester, Banco absorbed the music around him from an early age and drew creative fuel from the local soundscape. He issued his first recording, the track "Overdose," in 2016, though it was the single "Can't Stay" the following year that brought him wider attention.
