Kairo, the Mexican teen pop sensation, came together in February 1994 when Eduardo Verástegui, Jean Paul Forat Morales, and Francisco Carlos Zorrilla González joined forces. Their debut album, Signo del Tiempo, followed soon after. Following the arrival of Gaudium in 1995, Cara a Cara in 1997, and Libre, Eduardo Verástegui left to focus on acting, a path that later led to his solo debut, and former Mister Mexico Gabriel—born Gabriel Soto Borja Díaz—stepped in. In 1998 ex-Tierra Cero Paulo, born Paulo César Quevedo de la Vega, replaced Jean Paul while Roberto, born Roberto Assad Martínez, took the place of Francisco Zorrilla, and Pasiones appeared the same year.
