Hailing from Chicago, house vocalist Kim English notched multiple chart-topping club and dance releases on both sides of the Atlantic, beginning with her debut outing “Nite Life,” a track recorded alongside former Ten City members Byron Burke and Byron Stingily. Reworkings from Armand Van Helden and Masters At Work reinforced her standing as a singer who merged sensuality with spirituality, while further successes “I Know a Place” and “Time For Love” each climbed into the UK pop chart’s top 40. Nervous Records projects Learn 2 Love, Higher Things, and the 2000 release Re-Energized placed her alongside an array of house figures that included Junior Vasquez, Razor N Guido, Wamdue Project, Boris & Beck, and numerous additional collaborators.
