Emerging in 2008 with the bold attitude and raw edge of 1970s hard rock, Los Angeles trio KYNG labeled their approach "California heavy." Eddie Veliz handles guitars and vocals, Tony Castaneda plays bass, and Pepe Clarke sits behind the drums; together they merge the crushing force of Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin with the melodic drive of Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age, yielding a potent hybrid that moves between hard rock and stoner rock. Their debut album, Trampled Sun, surfaced in 2011 on RealiD Records. After signing with Razor & Tie in 2013, the band delivered its second studio album, Burn the Serum, the next year. In September 2016 they unveiled the single "Pristine Warning" ahead of their third full-length, Breathe in the Water, which appeared the following October.
