Biography
Originating from Karlstad, Sweden, the power metal band Lancer fuses aggressive intensity with technically demanding yet melody-rich songcraft that echoes Blind Guardian, Rhapsody of Fire, Hammerfall, and Edguy. The group formed in 2009 around Ingesund Music Academy graduates Isak Stenvall on vocals, guitarists Peter Ellstrom and Fredrik Kelemen, bassist Emil Oberg, and drummer Sebastian Pedernera. Their self-titled debut appeared in 2013, succeeded two years later by the widely praised Second Storm; after signing with Nuclear Blast in 2017, they issued their third studio album, Mastery.
