Larry Gaaga first drew widespread notice through his signature dance routine, which appeared alongside 2baba on the 2017 single “Gaga Shuffle,” yet he had already entered the Nigerian music industry via multiple channels. Those early efforts encompassed songwriting, production, artist management, business ownership, comedy, and vocal performances. He began by guiding rapper Vector’s career as general manager at YSG Entertainment and appeared on occasional tracks before launching his own imprint, Gaaga Muzik. From that base he secured major successes, among them the Davido collaboration “Doe” and the 2019 Wizkid pairing “Low,” both of which helped anchor his standing in Afro-pop.

Born Larry Ndianefo, he arrived on the scene in 2011 and immediately supported Vector’s development at YSG Entertainment. He also contributed vocals to Vector’s track “Get Down” alongside 2baba while quietly building credits as a producer and songwriter. At the same time he ran Gaaga Muzik and maintained ties to a prominent oil company. His public breakthrough arrived when 2baba titled the 2017 hit “Gaga Shuffle” after Gaaga’s well-known dance move and invited him to sing on the record. The song’s success opened doors to further high-profile work, including 2018’s “Doe” with Davido and “Baba Nla” with 2baba, Burna Boy, and D’banj. The pair followed up in 2019 with “Iworiwo,” and Gaaga added the Wizkid collaboration “Low” that same year. He also scored the soundtrack to the film Living in Bondage: Breaking Free. Into the next decade he released the 2020 Love Zone EP recorded with Acetune.
