Biography
Latino Velvet came together as something of a Latin rap supergroup, bringing in Latin hip-hop pioneer Frost—previously Kid Frost and born Art Molina—along with N2Deep’s Jay Tee, born James Trujillo, plus Baby Beesh, born Ken Franklin, and Don Ciscone. The outfit released its first album, Clique, in 1998, securing guest contributions from Mellow Man Ace, N2Deep, Celly Cel, and Roger Troutman. Their next project, Velvet City, surfaced in spring 2000, followed a year later by Playing Velvet.
