Biography
Leah Blevins first stepped onto the scene in 2015 as a country performer whose memorable voice fuses vintage country, folk, rock, blues, and gospel influences. She partnered with producers Paul Cauthen and Beau Bedford of the Texas Gentlemen to deliver her praised debut album, First Time Feeling, in 2021.
Sand Hook, Kentucky, is where she was born and raised amid a household steeped in music. Her aunts, uncles, and grandparents formed the gospel ensemble the Harbor Masters, which crisscrossed Appalachia throughout the 1970s and 1980s, so her own inborn musical gift followed naturally. Church hymns with their layered harmonies, the country authority of Dolly Parton and Loretta Lynn, and the broader palette of Stevie Nicks and Janis Joplin all shaped her direction, prompting a move to Nashville to build her place in the industry.
She put out her debut EP, Runnin', in 2015, then followed with Walk Home three years afterward; both projects spotlighted her singular vocal timbre and poetic songwriting. Relocating to Texas in 2020, she began shaping her first full-length project, tracking First Time Feeling in Dallas once more with Paul Cauthen and Beau Bedford of the Texas Gentlemen before its release the next year.
