Biography
Before embarking on a solo path in 2002 with the debut album Heavy Dream, Danish singer/songwriter Lise Westzynthus had already performed in groups such as Rhonda Harris and Luksus. The record drew strong praise throughout Denmark and secured nominations at that year’s Danish Music Awards. To create her next project, Westzynthus partnered with producer Ian Caple—whose credits include albums by Tricky and Tindersticks—and covered its costs by parting with a chandelier bequeathed by her late grandmother. The outcome was the 2006 release Rock, You Can Fly, issued on One Little Indian.
