Biography
Originating from Taos, New Mexico, singer and songwriter Max Gomez was born to a Portuguese-Spanish father and an Irish-Scottish mother. Country blues shaped his initial tastes, which soon expanded to encompass modern singer-songwriters such as Townes Van Zandt, Guy Clark, and John Prine along with folk-rooted rock acts like Tom Petty and Neil Young, allowing him to sharpen his songwriting and craft a personal approach that integrated these strands without losing its own identity. His first album, the Jeff Trott-produced Rule the World, appeared on New West Records in 2013. Steady touring after that release led him to collaborate with producer Jim Scott on the 2017 EP Me & Joe.
