McCafferty

Singer/songwriter Nick Hartkop established the emo/dance-punk group McCafferty in Medina, Ohio, during 2012. What began as an acoustic punk effort prompted him to collaborate with drummer Evan Graham and producer Wes Easterly, resulting in a rapid series of demos, singles, and EPs throughout 2013. With Graham temporarily absent, Easterly switched to drums while McCafferty completed its first full-length effort, the 2014 album Beachboy. Hartkop soon chose to dissolve the project, marking the close of that opening phase. The band reemerged in 2016 as a quartet comprising Hartkop, Graham, Easterly, and Chris Joecken. Proceeds from a productive GoFundMe drive funded the EP Thanks. Sorry. Sure., which Take This to Heart Records secured and issued in 2017. November of the same year brought the follow-up EP Forest Life, and early 2018 saw the release of a split EP shared with fellow Ohioans Heart Attack Man.
