Biography
Originating from California, the thrash metal group Merciless Death came together at the start of 2003 when high-school friends Dan Holder and Andy Torres joined forces, later completing the lineup through the arrival of Cesar Torres on drums and Mike Griego on bass. In 2004 the quartet promptly laid down a demo titled Annihilate the Masses. Recognizing that a longer statement was required, the musicians handled every step of recording, producing, and self-releasing their first full-length album, Evil in the Night, during 2006. That release drew interest from Heavy Artillery Records, which offered a contract and issued a new version featuring fresh artwork. Merciless Death built on this momentum with a 2007 tour, then returned in 2008 to deliver their second album, Realm of Terror.
