Micky Modelle

An Irish DJ whose initial major opportunity arrived via a remix assignment for the Source, Micky Modelle earned widest recognition through his partnership with Belgian vocalist Jessy on the 2006 hit single “Dancing in the Dark.” He began performing at parties and similar events at age 15, yet it was his club work that secured a contract with Intelligence Records. In addition to running a record shop, he received the title of DJ of the year in 2000 and performed as a member of both Electroheadz and Tuff Twins. The strong results of his collaboration with Jessy on “Dancing in the Dark” sustained their joint efforts, prompting the swift release of the follow-up single “Over You.”
