Biography
The band originated while its members were jointly enrolled in vocal studies and took up street performances across London. Their debut album Madra relies primarily on a cappella arrangements drawn solely from traditional British songs. With the 1993 release Suspiria and the 1994 album Fairytales of Slavery, the group adopted a rock and industrial approach that placed their polished vocals against dense textures of distortion, feedback, and powerful drumming. Carnival of Souls appeared during summer 2000.
