Biography
Jérémy Souillart, working under the stage name Møme, first surfaced in 2014 as a French touch and chillwave producer with Eclipse, the self-released debut EP that introduced his sound. Born in Nice, he trained at the Nice Academy of Music and initially played guitar and piano in rock groups before moving into electronic composition. After signing to the Parisian imprint DDM Recordings, he delivered his next EP, Cosmopolitan, the following year and continued to refine his luminous, atmospheric approach. Once based in Australia, Souillart adapted his surf van into a mobile studio and tracked the aptly bright Aloha EP there in 2016. Later the same year he released his first full-length album, Panorama, whose style prompted comparisons to Flume and Chet Faker. Drawing on his global travels, Møme began an audio-visual series in 2018 that opened with the two-song single Møment I.
