Biography
Born on February 24, 1971, in Frankfurt, Moses Pelham is a German rapper who also heads his own label. Already at the age of 13, he was distributing homemade cassettes featuring his tracks while still attending school, using the name Pelham Power Station. His first album, Raining Rhymes, came out in 1989 and featured production work by the Euro-dance duo Michael Münzing and Luca Anzilotti. Pelham teamed up with musician Thomas Hofmann in 1993 to establish the hip hop outfit Roedelheim Hartreim, which put out several records across the decade. Following the duo's breakup in 1998, Pelham issued the solo project Geteiltes Leid, Vol. 1; this was succeeded by Geteiltes Leid, Vol. 2 in 2004 and Geteiltes Leid, Vol. 3 in 2012. That final installment reached number one on the German charts.
