Biography
Guitarist Nick Perri, an alumnus of Silvertide, launched the California alt-rock quartet Mount Holly in 2015, a band distinguished by its blues-tinged, riff-driven approach. Completing the lineup were vocalist Jameson Burt, bassist Brian Weaver, and drummer John Bach. The group’s debut offering arrived in 2016 with “Roll Out,” the title cut on a Hasbro/Sony compilation of tracks themed around the Transformers franchise. One year later, “Get Up” earned inclusion on the sixty-second volume of the long-running Now That’s What I Call Music! series. That same track surfaced on the band’s first album, Stride by Stride, issued in early November 2017. Though the record performed solidly on digital alternative charts, its arrival brought word of Burt’s exit, after which the remaining members elected to disband rather than recruit a replacement.
