Biography
Since the late '90s, French-Moroccan rapper Nessbeal has remained a fixture in France's vibrant hip-hop community, first gaining recognition through a duo and a collective before launching his own prosperous solo path. Nabil Selhy came into the world in Boulogne-Billancourt in 1978; after his parents split, he relocated to Villiers Sur Marne, where he sharpened his MC abilities and later linked up with Zesau and Koriaz to establish Dicidens. The group produced multiple EPs along with the album HLM Rezidants, originally tracked in 2000 yet held back until 2004 by distribution delays, prior to the act's dissolution. He entered the Hauts-de-Seine collective 92I in 1999 together with Mala, Ali, and Booba; after contributing to the latter's initial pair of solo albums, Nessbeal departed to focus on his individual work. Once the street CD NE2SBEAL appeared, he issued the four studio albums La Melodie des Briques in 2006, Rois Sans Couronne in 2008, NE2S in 2010, and Sélection Naturelle in 2011, while founding the label Verbal Brolik alongside his brother Dedy.
