Biography
The Philly vocal quartet No Question brings together Damon Core, Dante Massey, Tommy Blackwell, and Nicholas Johnson, who deliver a range of vocal approaches stretching from the classic phrasing of Al Green to an unfiltered, soulful evolution of Boyz II Men. Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff launched the foursome into wider view through their first full-length release, the self-titled No Question on Philadelphia International Records, which yielded the hit single "I Don't Care" along with a fresh take on "You Make Me Feel Brand New." Although the album proved sturdy, its commercial returns did not match expectations, prompting the ensemble to change imprints and align with Chris Schwartz as Ruff/Nation Records’ inaugural R&B act.
