Biography
The hip-hop duo Northern League launched their path through an array of soundtrack placements rather than issuing an album or single at the outset. A.B., whose name derives from the One Life to Live character Asa "Ace" Buchanan, joined forces with Keith Lo after the pair crossed paths as high school students in New Haven, CT. Once they completed their studies and circulated some early recordings, the two built a close tie to MTV that secured their music for several of the network's programs, among them The Real World, Yo Momma, Bam's UnHoly Union, and Parental Control. Their material soon extended to additional outlets such as ESPN's Tilt, HBO's Entourage, and Showtime's Weeds, while a track also appeared in the 2006 film The Architect. Another song found its way into the 2007 movie Stomp the Yard, and before that year closed the duo teamed with producer Frederick Sargolini on the children's holiday release Yo! It's Christmas under the name Yo Yo Yo Kids.
