Oesch's die Dritten, a family ensemble based in Schwarzenegg, Switzerland, concentrated on traditional Swiss musical forms. Beyond issuing multiple albums and appearing in the United States, the group earned a 2006 support slot alongside accordionist Heinz Haldi, an opportunity that led to their selection as the Basel region's entry in Muikantenstadl. After a strong performance in the contest, they issued the album Jodel Zauber in 2007, which climbed into the top thirty on home-country charts.
