Biography
Ophthalamia came together as a black metal side project uniting vocalist Legion of Marduk, guitarist It from Abruptum and Vondur, bassist Night of Swordmaster, and drummer Winter from Edge of Sanity. Their debut album A Journey in Darkness surfaced on the Avantgarde imprint, after which the band moved to Century Black to deliver Via Dolorosa in 1996. A re-recording of the first album appeared the next year as A Long Journey, with Dominion arriving in 1998.
