Unleashed

Since the dawn of the 1990s, Unleashed have stood as enduring pillars within Sweden’s death metal community, issuing a steady stream of recordings that adhere to a straightforward loud-fast-rules approach whose core has stayed consistent yet retains its force. Bassist and vocalist Johnny Hedlund anchors the lineup alongside guitarists Tomas and Fredrik plus drummer Anders. The band entered the discography in 1991 via Where No Life Dwells, then continued with Shadows in the Deep in 1992, Across the Open Sea in 1993, the official bootleg Live in Vienna in 1994, Victory in 1995—widely viewed as their strongest effort—followed by the live set Eastern Blood in 1996 and Warrior in 1997.
