Biography
Born from Pain came together in 1997 as one of Holland’s most respected metallic hardcore bands, drawing its original lineup from former members of Feeding the Fire, Point of No Return, Backdraft, and Wheel of Progress. Frequent touring accompanied the band’s recorded output, which includes the 1998 Immortality EP, 1999’s Sands of Time, 2003’s Reclaiming the Crown, and 2005’s In Love with the End. Although a handful of personnel shifts took place across the years—far fewer than the norm for most underground acts—the 2006 release War still featured founding members Ché Snelting on vocals and Rob Franssen on bass and vocals, together with the later additions of guitarists Domink Stammen and Karl Fieldhouse plus drummer Roel Klomp.
