Biography
The Minneapolis, MN-based quintet Quietdrive came together in 2003 after Brandon Lanier on drums, Droo Hastings on bass, and Justin Bonhiver on guitar discovered MP3s that singer Kevin Truckenmiller had uploaded and reached out to him about forming a band. Truckenmiller accepted the invitation and added his college friend Matt Kirby on guitar and vocals, rounding out the lineup. Over the following eighteen months the band toured extensively throughout the Midwest, building a following through both their performances and their presence on MySpace. Not long after inking a deal with Epic in late 2004, the group briefly adopted the name Sneaker 2 Bomb before reverting to Quietdrive ahead of the 2006 release of their debut album, When All That's Left Is You.
