Biography
Raisa K, a Londoner whose passion for both performing and analyzing music shaped her academic choices, enrolled at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. An introduction to Mica Levi at the institution drew her toward experimental pop, and she soon joined Levi’s band Micachu & the Shapes on keyboards. In 2009 she paused her coursework to concentrate on global recording sessions and live performances, while also collaborating with rapper DELS and delivering remixes for various acts such as Laurel Collective. After completing two studio albums with Micachu & the Shapes, she launched her debut solo project on Technicolour in early 2013. The self-produced Feeder EP showcased unconventional synth textures, hypnotic basslines, and her characteristically detached yet magnetic vocal style.
