Biography
Prior to pursuing an independent path toward the end of the 1990s, Ricardo Castillón guided the Tejano ensemble La Diferenzia. Serving as its principal singer, he quickly rose to prominence and delivered numerous successes during his tenure. Youthful though he remained, Castillón had already lived most of his years immersed in music. Born in Lobock, TX, he entered his family’s ensemble at age 12, having already performed on guitar for some time. From 1995 onward La Diferenzia earned growing recognition and commercial traction. Castillón opened his solo chapter in 1999 via a self-titled RCA album. He later joined Melody Latina, which paired him with producers Christian DeWalden and Carlo Nasi on the 2002 successor.
