Biography
Roberto Vecchioni, an Italian singer and songwriter, earned his degree from Milan's Catholic University in 1968 before pursuing both education and musical expression. Having first written material for established regional performers, he launched his independent recording path during 1971 with the album Parobola. The follow-up Saldi Di Fine Stagione appeared the next year, succeeded by L'uomo Che Si Gioca Il Cielo A Dadi in 1973, after which the local recording critics association honored him in 1974. His initial major success arrived via the 1977 single "Samarcanda." By 1983 the composer had issued his poetry and lyrics collection titled Grande Sogno (The Great Dream).
