Biography
Emerging from Atlanta in 2009, Roscoe Dash fused the city’s party rap energy with an independent sensibility on the club single “All the Way Turnt Up!” He first operated under the name ATL while forging ties with the local crew Travis Porter. The collective requested his track for their I’m a Differenter 2 mixtape, yet the listing “Travis Porter featuring YT and ATL” sparked a rift. Switching to the solo identity Roscoe Dash, he recut the song with Soulja Boy Tell Em and landed a contract with Interscope. Amid heavy club rotation throughout summer 2010, Dash disclosed plans for his debut full-length. Ready Set Go! landed that November. The second album, J.U.I.C.E., arrived the following year.
