Biography
Deriving their name from the Amish expression for the transitional phase of youth, the Los Angeles, CA group Rumspringa crafts an experimental blend of dance and rock that draws inspiration from Devendra Banhart while fusing Americana, funk, and an array of further styles. Formed under the initial leadership of Joey Stevens and Itaru de la Vega, the band cultivated a strong following by performing extensively across the City of Angels. The pair issued their debut EP, a self-titled release, through Cantora Records in 2008. After De La Vega stepped away, Stevens maintained his role at the helm of the project.
