Biography
Formed in 1994 as a punk-pop trio, Ruth Ruth launched their career with unpaid performances at New York City's Continental nightclub. The scattered appearances soon developed into a steady residency, prompting vocalist/bassist Chris Kennedy, guitarist Mike Lustig, and drummer Dave Snyder to ink a deal with American Recordings the following year. Their debut album Laughing Gallery, helmed by producer Ted Nicely (Fugazi, Girls Against Boys), arrived in October 1995 and was followed by the EP Little Death in 1996. Moving to RCA, the band reemerged in 1998 with Are You My Friend?
