Biography
Formed in 1995, the Italian rock band Santa Sangre originated with ex-Carnival of Fools member Luca Talamazzi alongside Maurizio Raspante and Mox Cristadoro, who later added guitarist Alex Ragni to the lineup. The group derived its name from a cult movie by Jodorowsky before contributing a track to the Soniche Avventure compilation, which appeared on the independent label Fridge Records. Santa Sangre put out its debut album Ogni Citta Aura Il Tuo (Every City Will Have Your Name) in 1997, the same year guitarist Gabriel Canzi replaced Alex Ragni.
