Biography
Formed in Poland under the name Tormentor back in 1994 by guitarist Jacek Hiro, the death metal group Sceptic endured repeated membership shifts before locking in vocalist Marcin Urbas, guitarist Czesiek Semla, bassist Pawel Kolasa, and drummer Kuba Kogut. That particular configuration delivered 1999’s Blind Existence, an album that earned strong underground acclaim across Europe for its sharply technical brand of death metal. Vocalist Michal Senajko joined forces with returning founding drummer Maciek Zieba for the 2001 release Pathetic Being, after which Senajko departed in favor of Michal Skotniczny.
