In the 2010s, Pennsylvania natives Michael Foster and Charles "Scootie" Anderson joined forces as Social House, initially supplying upbeat, groove-driven pop material for other acts before launching their own career via the 2018 Lil Yachty collaboration "Magic in the Hamptons." The following year brought an award-winning, platinum-certified smash with Ariana Grande on "Boyfriend," a cut from their first project, Everything Changed....

The two first connected in Pittsburgh before relocating to Los Angeles, where they entered a joint venture with Scooter Braun's SB Projects and Interscope Records. Working repeatedly alongside Tommy Brown, Social House supplied songs for Ariana Grande, Meghan Trainor, and DJ Khaled, and in 2018 the same trio helped shape Jennifer Lopez's "Dinero," which also featured Khaled and Cardi B. That summer the duo stepped forward with their own gold-certified single "Magic in the Hamptons," guest-starring Lil Yachty. August 2019 saw the release of their debut EP, Everything Changed..., anchored by the Ariana Grande-assisted single "Boyfriend." The track earned platinum status, a Grammy nomination for Pop Duo/Group Performance, and an MTV Video Music Award for Song of the Summer. Further credits with Grande encompass production and songwriting on her albums Sweetener, Thank U, Next, and Positions. Also in 2019, Social House contributed to K-pop act NCT 127's We Are Superhuman and appeared on Lost Kings and Wiz Khalifa's "Don't Kill My High."

The duo resurfaced in 2022 with a sharper, pop-punk-inflected direction on "Bentley Coupe" and "Sentimental" featuring Magic Whatever.
