Biography
Formed by French producers Benjamin Sportes and Nicolas Kantorovwicz, the downtempo electronica act Sporto Kantes delivered its initial full-length release during 2000. Linking with the Parisian imprint Catalogue, the pair first appeared under the Sporto Kantes name in 1998 via the four-track EP Nickson; one year afterward came the follow-up four-track EP Party (1999). Their first complete album, Act 1 (2000), later received a 2003 reissue that added bonus tracks and fresh artwork. The next Sporto Kantes outing, 2nd Round (2004), brought the duo onto the French charts for the initial time. Their third album, 3 at Last (2008), achieved their strongest chart placement yet by reaching number 95 on the albums survey.
