Sunsquabi

SunSquabi, a funk trio based in Boulder, Colorado that incorporates electronic assistance, fuses jazz, dubstep, electronica, and prog into an organic live-band presentation. The lineup of Chris Anderson on drums, Josh Fairman on bass and synth, and Kevin Donohue on guitar, keys, and production launched in 2011 by issuing the full-length album Enhance, then followed with a series of independent EPs, singles, and albums before signing to Detroit’s All Good Records. Operated by future-funk producer GRiZ, the label issued the band’s first release on the imprint, Odyssey, in 2016, which served as something of a breakthrough. After completing a national tour and appearing at several prominent American festivals, the group returned to the studio to record the Deluxe EP in 2017.
