Biography
Born as Rico Smith in Columbus, Ohio, in 1972, West Coast rapper Tash moved to California at sixteen. A protégé of King Tee and Ice T, he co-founded tha Alkaholiks in 1992; the crew released its debut album, 21 & Over, the next year. After the group’s third album, 1997’s Likwidation, Tash turned to his solo debut, 1999’s Rap Life.
