Tedo Stone

Tedo Stone, a practitioner of garage and psych-rock, began sharpening his skills in childhood by heading his first group at age 12 and playing the bar circuit near his native Covington, Georgia. Growing up amid a household soundtrack of vintage soul, country, and rock, he poured those eclectic roots into his 2013 debut Good Go Bad, an album that displayed his broad listening habits and flair for retro pop through infusions of glam, alt-country, and psych. The record also served as his initial outing on Atlanta-based Southern-centric label This Is American Music. Residence in the college town of Athens, Georgia, prompted a shift in his sound toward noisier, freer impulses that echoed Dinosaur Jr. and Neil Young, leading him to enlist producer Drew Vandenberg, known for sessions with Deerhunter and Of Montreal, on the grittier follow-up Marshes issued in 2015.
