The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir

In 1972 Pastor Jim Cymbala and his wife Carol arrived at the Brooklyn Tabernacle, where the congregation then numbered only 15-20 members. Roughly a year afterward Carol formed a choir that began with nine singers. The ensemble now comprises 240 voices, and weekly services draw 6,000 worshippers. As a recording act the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir has moved three million albums while collecting multiple Grammy and Dove Awards.
