Biography
The Moog, a five-piece act from Hungary, originated with Tonyo handling vocals and keyboards, Gergo on drums and percussion, and Adi on guitar. These three, close since childhood through their mutual admiration for Nirvana, Led Zeppelin, and Placebo, began by performing covers while developing original songs. In 2004 they chose to pursue the project seriously and connected with Csabi, soon to become their bassist. Though Csabi had no prior experience on the instrument at the time of their meeting, his strong interest in the band enabled him to acquire the necessary skills in short order. Once Miguel joined on guitar to round out the roster, the quintet drew from the sound of the Fratellis and the Arctic Monkeys as they prepared their debut album, Sold for Tomorrow, issued by MuSick Records in 2008.
