Biography
A German horror-punk institution, the Other originated in 2002 when vocalist Rod Usher and drummer Dr. Caligari assembled the lineup after it had first operated as a Misfits cover band. Drawing on classic horror literature and films for inspiration, the group launched albums in 2004 through their self-run Fiend Force Records label, which additionally handled LPs by kindred acts including Blitzkid, Mister Monster, Nim Vind, and the Deep Eynde. Switching to Steamhammer, they issued their fifth studio long-player New Blood in 2009 and remained on the imprint for both 2012's The Devil You Know and 2015's Fear Itself. Their fifth full-length Casket Case, the first to appear on Drakkar Records, surfaced in 2017.
