Tim Toupet

Known as "The Singing Barber," Tim Toupet balances dual careers as a German hair stylist running a thriving salon in Koln and as a pop performer who has built a loyal audience. Born October 28, 1971, he focuses on energetic pop songs whose lyrics encourage group participation at celebrations, earning particular favor among visitors to Ballerman 6, the beachfront tavern on Mallorca popular with German vacationers. His first recording, the 2004 single "Yippie Jaja Yippie Noch En Kölsch," was followed a year later by his initial chart success, the fittingly named "Du Hast Die Haare Schön" (translated as "You Have Beautiful Hair"). Toupet entered Germany’s top ten in 2008 with "Ich Bin Ein Döner," which peaked at number eight, then improved on that placement in 2009 when "… So Ein Schöner Tag (Fliegerlied)" reached number six.
