Andreas Martin, a German performer rooted in the schlager tradition, earned his widest fame through the 1987 single "Du Bist Alles (Maria, Maria)," a song composed by Drafi Deutscher. His first appearance on record came with an eponymous album issued in 1982 that featured the track "Amore Mio." He followed that debut with further releases—1984's Was Man Liebe Nennt, 1987's Du Vist Alles, 1988's Nur Bei Dir, and 1990's Ein Teil Von Mir—before joining forces with Deutscher in the duo New Mixed Emotions. Their 1991 album Side by Side showcased the well-received singles "Sensuality" and "Lonely Lover." Martin sustained his recording career through the 1990s and 2000s and simultaneously supplied material for fellow pop and schlager artists such as Juliane Werding, Wolfgang Petry, Nino de Angelo, Roger Whittaker, and Brunner & Brunner.
