Trauffer

Swiss volksmusik singer Marc Trauffer fronted the popular Bernese band Airbäg between 1997 and 2005 before stepping out on his own in 2008, issuing the debut album Pallanza to mark the start of his solo path. That same catchy, upbeat approach to alpine folk and rock powered later projects such as 2010’s Dr Heimat z’lieb, 2013’s Fischer & Jäger, and 2014’s Alpentainer, with the last two earning gold and platinum certification in turn. Beyond music, Trauffer serves as third-generation proprietor of the family’s Trauffer toy company, long celebrated across Switzerland for its signature wooden cows and other farm animals. His fifth album, Heiterefahne, arrived in 2016 and debuted at number one on the Swiss charts.
