Biography
In the middle of 2005 the French dancehall act Tribal King came together. Its two vocalists, David—a former member of the West Indian outfit Vawang—and Nony, who had appeared on the television talent series Star Academy, first crossed paths inside a German nightclub, discovering a shared enthusiasm for music and football. After linking up with producer Jean-Michel Padilla, the pair began recording their debut album Welcome, released in 2006, whose opening single “Façon Sex” quickly became a hit.
