Biography
Trioscapes, a band that merges progressive jazz with prog rock sensibilities, produces instrumental works steeped in post-bop, avant-garde, fusion, and heavy metal textures. The trio assembled in Greensboro, North Carolina in 2011, bringing together saxophonist Walter Fancourt, bassist Dan Briggs, and drummer/electronic musician Matt Lynch. Referencing the legacies of Mahavishnu Orchestra and King Crimson, Trioscapes issued their debut album, Separate Realities, in 2012. They followed with the sophomore release Digital Dream Sequence in 2014 through Metal Blade.
