Biography
Vains of Jenna came together at the start of 2005 in Falkenberg, a modest Swedish community. As the inaugural act on Filthy Note—the label launched by skateboarder, part-time musician, and Jackasser Bam Margera—the quartet hit the road across southern Europe and the U.K. in spring 2006. Strong critical notices together with tracks shared on their MySpace page secured an invitation to Cruefest 2006, staged in Los Angeles that July. Seeing the group live convinced Margera that their Guns N' Roses-inspired cock rock was compelling enough for him to create the imprint and sign them as its first release. Lizzy Devine sang and played guitar, Nicki Kin handled lead guitar, JP White covered bass, and Jacki Stone sat behind the drums; despite the names, all four musicians are male. Their debut full-length, Lit Up/Let Down, surfaced in autumn 2006.
