Jellyfish Entertainment put together the South Korean boy band VeriVery toward the close of the 2010s, folding hip-hop aggression and electronic intensity into the familiar K-pop combination of R&B vocal harmonies and dance rhythms. Their opening extended play, VERI-US, surfaced in the first half of 2019 and reached the Korean Top Five. Sales climbed steadily the next year across the three releases Face Me, Face You, and Face Us.

The seven members—Dongheon, Hoyoung, Minchan, Gyehyeon, Yeonho, Yongseung, and Kangmin—first met the public in August 2018 through the reality series Now Verivery: Real Road Movie and its attached soundtrack, Super Special. Early the following year Jellyfish launched the septet’s recorded output with VERI-US, which included the New Jack Swing-influenced single “Ring Ring Ring.” That track climbed to number four on the Korean chart and was quickly succeeded by VERI-ABLE and VERI-CHILL. The year 2020 proved pivotal, doubling the group’s prior sales figures while a set of three EPs—Face Me, Face You, and Face Us—kept VeriVery inside the Top Ten. Their explosive single “G.B.T.B. (Go Beyond the Barrier),” heavy on rap showcases, marked the first U.S. chart entry and claimed the top position on the Billboard World Singles chart in October.

VeriVery delivered their second single album, Series 'O' Round 1: Hall, along with its A-side “Get Away,” in March 2021.
