Biography
Way Yes, the experimental pop band from Columbus, Ohio, originated in early 2010 when multi-instrumentalists Glenn Davis and Travis Hall first joined forces. Maxwell Lewis and drummer Timothy Horak soon completed the group, allowing them to shape a richly eclectic sample-based pop sound that drew from Animal Collective’s blissful, trippy energy, the avant experimentalism of the Books, and the solid tropical pop hooks of Vampire Weekend. The Herringbone EP appeared in 2010; the Oranjudio 7" and Walkability EP both arrived the following year. Their first proper album, Tog Pebbles, was released in 2013.
